You’ll know that at last month’s AGM, The Traditional Youth Marching Bands Association decided to move forward in a new direction, becoming a more advisory body to assist our members.
To do this, we’re looking for a volunteer Advice Manager to join our team.
This is very much a blank canvas and we are looking for ideas around how the TYMBA Advice Unit should look, feel and what it should provide for our members.
We know through talking to bandmasters and through the survey we undertook in 2016 that this is a key thing which bandmasters want.
Although we say it is a blank canvas we do have some things we want to project to include, but not limited to:
- Setting up the Advisory unit of TYMBA, this could be with a team, to be the point of contact for new and current member bands who want advice on how to set up/go forward with their band.
- Build a database of and links with;
- Fundraising opportunities
- Assist with the organisation of the annual TYMBA Conference
You will get assistance as required from the TYMBA Committee, the Vice Chairman will also help in producing any materials and updating the TYMBA website as required.
If you think you’re the right person for the role, or want to talk about it more, email Andy Downton
