A message from Carl Nelson

After considerable thought and consideration, I feel the time has come for me to step down as Chairman of TYMBA.

There are a number of reasons behind my decision, but overall it comes down to me not being able to commit to the amount of time which is required.

I’ve really enjoyed the role of Chairman and if the situation were different would love to finish the journey we’ve started on, however, I feel it’s unfair to you if I were to continue because I can’t provide it with the time, effort and attention it deserves.

I will remain on the committee and assist where time allows and would like to thank you all for your support over the years.

A message from Andy Downton

I’m sure you will join me in thanking Carl for his hard work and dedication not only over the past five years as Chairman but to his devotion to the organisation since he himself was a young member.

I have already told Carl that he should be proud of the position TYMBA is in through his leadership; a growing organisation with a more engaged membership who are not only supporting our competitions but other events like training and networking.

The TYMBA committee will now be working to find a successor to lead our association.

As you will probably be aware, the voting for the Chair takes place at the Annual General Meeting in January 2018 and you will be sent more details well in advance of the date if you wish to nominate someone for the role.

If you would like to discuss the role as Chair, please feel free to talk to Carl or me.

Yours in banding,

Andy Downton
Vice Chairman – TYMBA
